Heh its funny we only have one life and I often forget how well off I am so each daysI have decided to post at least one thing in my life & for the day that I can thanks Him for. Gods love abounds in us, no matter how I feel I know He is with me.
If anyone wants to comment and also share what they are thankful for then feel free to drop a line.

27/07/2010 - I am thankful for my Grandpa & Grandma who still are alive and who I was able to see today & for being able to share in this blog.
31/07/2010 I missed a few days - not a good start .. Um today I am thankful for the time i got to spend with my family & the the provision of work for my family.
Hello there Johnny! Thank you very much for posting a comment on my blog! And I will drop in every now and then to read yours! It's fabulous how you're writing a blog on here. I find it very helpful, myself.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is going okay for you, and that you get better from whatever un-wellness is happening to you. It's great to have supportive family, even when they're not perfect, right? And time is good too. Clocks really are horrible, I sincerely believe that, as much as I like them.
And I am thankful for... the GREEN GRASS outside my window, and... the music on my ipod.
I'll post a little short summary of myself, since you asked, in my blog today.
What you asked, about my Japanese and Piano? Those things I've picked BECAUSE I love them... I figure that they will be best because I can succeed when I am enjoying myself??... They are beautiful to me. Ooh, I should write about that... good idea.
I have a question for you, what does "born again christian" mean to you? Since I've been a christian / 7th-day adventist forever (for me), I don't know what it's like to go through a lifestyle change like that! I mean, if you have time to answer.
hey, thanks for reading all this. Your comments have been helpful and interesting-
Hey Cara nice post, I believe if you love something you should persue it. We all have gifts which we can share with others and if you love japanese and piano then thats awesome and I am so happy for you just remember doubt is like a disease it pulls you down and makes things so unclear. I am sure you can get a part time job Ill pray you find a job if you have a part time job you can focus on study and also bring in money . You can follow your dreams & your family will also be happy.
ReplyDeleteI will share with your about being born again ..
Ok i guess i can start by asking do you feel your a good person ? Often how we act often define if we believe we are good in our own eyes.
Lets say you live by the 10 commands
Lets go through them :
Thou shalt have no other God before me and you shall not make for yourself any carved image.
When we think of this we may go yeah I only belive in God i dont serve any other God but often what we invest our time into can be a God for many it may be sport, money or even tv !
You Shall not steal: have you even stolen anything at all even a hair clip ? Only you can answer this question but basically if you have then we would be called a thief.
You shall not commit adultery: Now its pretty simple that your not married,... I am not married but the Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that if we have looked at anyone lustfully we have committed adultery in our heart.
I guess what I am trying to say that if we have broken even one commandment we have broken the law and its for this reason Jesus died for us & rose again .
We have sinned and its only by His grace that we are forgiven.
If you look at our live on our level then maybe living by the law would suffice but remember we got to live up to Gods standards.
The law or 10 commandments was made to show that we cannot live by works .
So when I am born again it means i have realised that I am a sinner i have come before Christ and asked Him to forgive me for my sins and come into my life as my savour.
If you read John chapter 3 it actually speaks about being born again.
Through all the Bible the main message is Jesus Christ , repentance & being saved and that its by Grace of God.
I really hope you take what I have mentioned to heart i understand its easy to say I was born a christian its all I have ever known.
Christ says come unto me those who have heavy burden and he will make your load light.
You know the thing is I was always unfullfilled I used to not like the Bible or spending time in the world but I was always so unfufilled with life & the world .. its like nothing make sense.
But you know I committed my life to Christ & accepted Him and all i can say is it changes your life , it doesnt make your life any easier . I cant promise everything will run smoothly but He will give you a peace that is indescribable.
So anyway in regards to work-
I went to year 12 , i took up a job, i studied counselling, i dropped out at the end of my 2nd year .. I had good marks & only 6 weeks left so I can relate to not finishing a course.
I can tell you being in a position that just isnt you doesnt make life better.. If anything Cara i can say find something that shouts out and defines who you are. If you find a job and do something that compliments who you are then I am sure you will be able to direct your energy and time productively.
In many ways I have been just like you i used to procastinate and hold off doing things I am like ... yeah well I am scared well actually I have been always afraid of making the wrong decisions in my life . And it some ways it affected how i approach situations and even what i do in my life.
I read your comments thanks for sharing I have to go now and ill talk with you later.
Very cool:) I like what you said about the ten commandments. Definitely, actions (and the way we spend our time) can tell a you a lot about yourself-- what is actually important to you. I want to make sure that God is my "idol", not something else, like television, or worrying so much about how my outward appearance would look to others, so that I don't care about God as much. TV and outward appearance are both "idols" (or distractions) that keep me from God, among other things. Of course, I don't know God wants us to consider him an idol...?
ReplyDeleteAlso, where you said...
"Ok i guess i can start by asking do you feel your a good person ? Often how we act often define if we believe we are good in our own eyes. "
I've never thought of it that way-- usually I feel like a "good person" if I know I'm acting how Jesus would act, as if he's a model for me. It is hard to do that though, when you can't forgive yourself. But we are created in the image of God-- a perfect being, but also someone who can LOVE. Even though we have sin in us, we DO have the ability to love! That LOVE is the part of God's image that we've inherited, that he created in us, right? So I think... we always, no matter what, have the potential to be that good. When we make mistakes, we have to let God forgive us.
well... keep at it!! It's fun talking about this stuff. Usually I have religious discussions with my friend Margueurite.
Hey dude.... Hahaha... You should post something!!! Or not, if you don't feel like writing, I guess you shouldn't rush yourself. :)
